Andy Leicester

Andrew (“Andy”) Leicester serves as Head of Sourcing for Attexo Capital, where he leads the team’s investment triage process and supports the development of research-driven, thematic infrastructure investment strategies. Prior to his current role, Andy served as a Managing Partner of ANH Finance, an advisory firm providing capital markets guidance to institutional investors and business operators with a focus on private market transactions, during which he provided investment advisory services to Attexo Capital.

Previously, Andy was a Senior Director with TIAA-CREF, focused on private equity infrastructure and energy investments, high-yield debt, and select midstream, renewables, and private equity fund opportunities. During his nine-year tenure with TIAA, Andy led the sourcing, due diligence, underwriting, and business legal negotiation for $2 billion of infrastructure and energy transactions. Andy contributed significantly to the establishment and development of the infrastructure and energy real assets private equity platform with increasing leadership roles. Andy served as a Board Member of several private infrastructure and energy companies in the US, Canada and Australia.

Andy earned a B.S.B.A. in Finance from Boston University and a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Finance from Cornell University.

Andy’s select infrastructure investment expertise includes:

  • Chicago, Illinois: Midway Airport, core deal team member of a bidding group in 2008/2009 for the Midway airport privatization.
  • Melbourne, Australia: ConnectEast / EastLink toll road renamed Horizon Roads, public to take private $2 billion+ transaction in 2011. Sole deal source and structurer and representative for TIAA-CREF. Board Representative for five years ending 2016.
  • Pennsylvania, PA: Pennsylvania Turnpike, core team member of a bidding group in 2008 for the $20 billion toll road privatization effort.
  • Various OECD Locations: Thoroughly due diligence and several hundred pipeline opportunities in the infrastructure and energy sectors over the course of 10+ years. Asset types included: ports, toll roads, airports, bridges, railroads, pipelines and many others.
